When and where can I have my appointment?
Appointments for private physical therapy at home are available 7 days a week, from 6:30 am - 8:30 pm. We make it hassle-free to complete your full course of care by having your Luna therapist come to you. In general, our therapists treat Workers’ Comp patients in their homes. Do I need a prescription to see a Luna physical therapist?
You do not need a prescription to start physical therapy. As a Workers’ Comp patient, you can see a therapist without a referral. We’ll also work with you to communicate your progress with your physician. Read more about prescriptions.
Commercial insurance / Self-pay rules
In Ohio, Direct Access rules allow patients to be seen for physical therapy without a prescription. If the patient does not demonstrate progress within 30 days, the patient must be referred to an appropriate healthcare provider.
Medicare rules
Medicare requires a signed plan of care for physical therapy. Your Luna therapist will create a plan of care during your first visit, and the Luna team will work with your doctor to get it approved. You will need a new plan of care established every 90 days or 10 visits whichever is sooner.
