Hey, Elmhurst! Luna is your accessible in-home physical therapy provider. Quality care comes to you with our therapists, so you don't need to navigate hurdles anymore. At Luna, registration is a snap — we accept all major insurance providers, including Medicare. And, regardless of your payment method, you can begin your treatment without a prescription.
Our physical therapists are available for appointments anywhere in Elmhurst. We come to you to make the physical therapy experience as convenient as possible. We know how special Elmhurst is with its beautiful parks like Wilder Park and Butterfield Park, and its vibrant downtown area filled with local shops and restaurants. We understand how hard Elmhurst residents work every day, whether it's commuting to Chicago on the Metra or enjoying a day at the Elmhurst Art Museum. We created Luna to help Elmhurst residents relieve the stress of securing prescriptions, checking for insurance coverage, finding a close enough clinic, dealing with waiting lists, and making frequent trips through traffic to get the care they need.
Luna accepts many insurance plans, and we handle the benefits verification process for you. With Luna, you’ll typically pay the co-pay your insurance plan requires for clinic visits. We accept all PPOs, many HMOs, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage.
In most cases, you will not need a referral for physical therapy. Some insurance providers do require a doctor’s referral, and we’ll promptly let you know if that’s the case with your insurance. Read more about prescriptions.
Appointments for private physical therapy at home are available 7 days a week, from 6:30 am - 9:30 pm. We make it hassle-free to complete your full course of care by having your Luna therapist come to you. In general, our therapists treat patients at home. See our clinic comparison chart.
We strive to have a single physical therapist work with each patient for their entire course of care. In very rare cases, your scheduling priorities may require adjustments, but you’ll always know who is seeing you for your appointment in advance.
In Illinois, Direct Access rules allow patients to be seen for physical therapy without a prescription as long as functional and measurable improvement is noted within the first 15 days or 10 visits. If no improvement is noted, the Luna team will work with your doctor to identify the best course of action or refer you back to the doctor.
Medicare requires a signed plan of care for physical therapy. Your Luna therapist will create a plan of care during your first visit, and the Luna team will work with your doctor to get it approved. You will need a new plan of care established every 90 days or 10 visits whichever is sooner.
We come to you!
