Don’t just take our word for it - see what actual patients have to say about their experience with Luna.
As an athlete - running, weights, yoga - I’ve had a lot of physical therapy. Luna is a huge step forward!
I can’t imagine why I would ever go back to an actual PT office. Bottom line – I love Luna.
I recommend this to anyone I know who wants/needs physical therapy. I see improvement every single week!

Hello, Long Island City! Luna is here to provide physical therapy wherever you are. Quality care becomes hassle-free with our therapists who come to you. Signing up at Luna is hassle-free — we're here for you with coverage under all major insurance providers, including Medicare. And you can initiate your treatment without a prescription, regardless of your payment method.
Our physical therapists are available for appointments anywhere in Long Island City. We come to you to make the physical therapy experience as convenient as possible. We know how special Long Island City is with its stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, vibrant arts scene, and diverse culinary options. We understand how hard its residents work every day, whether they're commuting to Manhattan or enjoying the local parks along the East River. We created Luna to help Long Island City residents relieve the stress of securing prescriptions, checking for insurance coverage, finding a close enough clinic, dealing with waiting lists, and making frequent trips through traffic to get the care they need.
Luna accepts many insurance plans, and we handle the benefits verification process for you. With Luna, you’ll typically pay the co-pay your insurance plan requires for clinic visits. We accept most major commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage.
In most cases, you will not need a referral for physical therapy. Some insurance providers do require a doctor’s referral, and we’ll promptly let you know if that’s the case with your insurance. Read more about prescriptions.
Appointments for private physical therapy at home are available 7 days a week, from 6:30 am - 9:30 pm. We make it hassle-free to complete your full course of care by having your Luna therapist come to you. In general, our therapists treat patients at home. See our clinic comparison chart.
We strive to have a single physical therapist work with each patient for their entire course of care. In very rare cases, your scheduling priorities may require adjustments, but you’ll always know who is seeing you for your appointment in advance.
In New York, Direct Access rules allow patients to be seen for physical therapy without a prescription for 10 visits or 30 days, whichever comes first. If your insurance company requires a prescription for coverage, the Luna team will work with your doctor to obtain one.
Medicare requires a signed plan of care for physical therapy. Your Luna therapist will create a plan of care during your first visit, and the Luna team will work with your doctor to get it approved. You will need a new plan of care established every 90 days or 10 visits whichever is sooner.
We come to you!
