This was my first visit with the therapist and I must say it was great. He was very professional and knowledgeable.
I have been through PT twice and working with Luna has been much better than dealing with an actual clinic.
I love how convenient it is that they come to the house especially if you have kiddos.
Amazing experience! I definitely recommend Luna!
I can’t imagine why I would ever go back to an actual PT office. Bottom line – I love Luna.

Our physical therapists are available for appointments anywhere in Columbia Heights. We come to you to make the physical therapy experience as convenient as possible. We know how special this vibrant neighborhood is, with its diverse community and bustling local businesses. We understand the hustle and bustle of Columbia Heights and created Luna to help residents here relieve the stress of securing prescriptions, checking for insurance coverage, finding a close enough clinic, dealing with waiting lists, and making frequent trips through traffic to get the care they need.
Luna accepts many insurance plans, and we handle the benefits verification process for you. With Luna, you’ll typically pay the co-pay your insurance plan requires for clinic visits. We accept most major commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage.
In most cases, you will not need a referral for physical therapy. Some insurance providers do require a doctor’s referral, and we’ll promptly let you know if that’s the case with your insurance. Read more about prescriptions.
Appointments for private physical therapy at home are available 7 days a week, from 6:30 am - 9:30 pm. We make it hassle-free to complete your full course of care by having your Luna therapist come to you. In general, our therapists treat patients at home. See our clinic comparison chart.
We strive to have a single physical therapist work with each patient for their entire course of care. In very rare cases, your scheduling priorities may require adjustments, but you’ll always know who is seeing you for your appointment in advance.
In the District of Columbia, Direct Access rules allow patients to be seen for physical therapy without a prescription as long as reasonable progress occurs. If reasonable progress is not noted within 30 days, your physical therapist will refer you back to your physician.
Medicare requires a signed plan of care for physical therapy. Your Luna therapist will create a plan of care during your first visit, and the Luna team will work with your doctor to get it approved. You will need a new plan of care established every 90 days or 10 visits whichever is sooner.
We come to you!
