Rates - Detroit, Grand Rapids
$72.00 per visit serving patients from therapist's own practice. Patients must be registered by the therapist from within the Luna app, and the therapist must directly handle all scheduling with the patient for all visits after the first visit. Patients already registered in the Luna system who were not originally registered as Practice Patients do not qualify for this rate.
$65.00 per visit serving patients provided by Luna and Luna's partners. Patients are registered by Luna for the therapist, and the therapist may handle scheduling directly or seek support from Luna Concierge as needed.
Visit lengths vary by patient and are between 45-55 minutes in length. The visit value is earned instantly after each chart is signed by the therapist. Charts must be submitted within 48 hours of a visit in order to ensure charting accuracy and timely earnings.
It is the intent of Luna to ensure drive times are 30 minutes or less to keep you productive.
If the patient cancels any scheduled visit with you with less than 24 hours of notice, or No Shows, Luna will pay a Cancelled Visit rate of $40.00 to you. Additionally, if a therapist cancels or No Shows an Initial Visit with less than 24 hours of notice, an Initial Visit Late Cancellation fee of $40.00 will be applied to your account.
In the following circumstances, the Cancelled Visit rate and Initial Visit Late Cancellation fee do not apply to: (a) Patients from your own practice, (b) Post-operative patients either not discharged from the hospital as planned or surgery date is changed last minute, (c) Patient experiences a medical emergency such as being admitted to the hospital, or (d) Natural disaster occurs at patient or therapist location such as fire, flood, earthquake, etc.
Waitlist Incentives
Luna provides additional incentives via the Spin the Wheel feature to reward patients being taken off the waitlist. If you cancel the first visit for any claimed patient, your waitlist bonus will be forfeited. That being said, you are expected to provide care for the entire care plan for all claimed patients off the waitlist. If the patient cancels/no shows the first visit, the waitlist bonus is reduced by 50%. All waitlist bonus payments are tracked in the Earnings screen and are paid after the first visit is delivered. Therapists who repeatedly cancel patients from the waitlist may be blocked from these features altogether.
To qualify for extra prize incentives for waitlist patients, therapists must also have their "Auto-Accept" status set to on.
Luna Preferred Status
For therapists who activate availability for 12 or more visits per week, Luna will provide priority scheduling to help maximize patient placements onto your calendar. “Orthopedics and Sports Medicine” specialty must be selected at minimum.
Luna Elite Status
For therapists who activate availability for 20 or more visits per week, Luna will provide priority scheduling to help maximize patient placements onto your calendar. “Orthopedics and Sports Medicine” specialty must be selected at minimum. Additionally, for Luna Elite therapists, Luna provides no-cost access to Continuing Education Units (CEU's) via a third-party service. Contact the Therapist Success team to coordinate access.
Special Q3 2025 Incentives
$400.00 bonus: Earned by delivering 200 visits in Q3.
$1,000.00 bonus: Earned by delivering 300 visits in Q3.
$2,000.00 bonus: Earned by delivering 400 visits in Q3.
Therapist may only qualify for one bonus above. Also, to qualify, the therapist must maintain updated expirable documentation, including Basic Life Support certificate, professional liability insurance, and physical therapy license.
Therapist Referral Bonuses
We love referrals! Referral bonuses for all Luna markets are listed here. Referrals must be submitted via the Luna app or Luna’s Refer page in advance of Luna’s contact with the referred therapist.
Patient Thank You's
Due to overwhelming patient demand to demonstrate appreciation to their therapists, Luna now permits patients to provide an optional gratuity and message to you after a Thumbs Up session when they use the Luna Patient app. Therapists must have the Thank You feature active in their Luna app, and there is a small processing fee due to credit card and collection fees.
Partnership with Found
Luna has partnered with Found, a financial platform designed for independent contractors. Found helps with business banking, tax tracking, and expense management—all in one place. As a Luna therapist, you can earn up to $250 when you open a Found account and deposit earnings from Luna. Offer valid for new customers through 12/31/25.
